28kW Solar PV System Installed for DJ Swallow Construction

At DCR, we don’t just design and install renewable energy systems—we use them ourselves. Having live data from the solar PV system at our own Fernwood office gave us a detailed understanding of our running costs and energy usage. This insight proved invaluable when working with our neighbour, DJ Swallow Construction, who wanted to reduce their reliance on the grid and prepare for future energy demands.

After analysing their offices’ energy profile, including air conditioning requirements and the addition of EV charger, we designed and installed a 28kW solar PV system tailored to their needs.

The new system not only reduces operational costs but also provides long-term resilience against rising energy prices. By generating clean electricity on-site, DJ Swallow Construction is now equipped with a sustainable energy solution that supports their day-to-day operations while cutting carbon emissions.

For us, this project was particularly rewarding. Working with a local business, just opposite our Fernwood base, highlights how renewable energy can bring real benefits to our community as well as the wider environment.
